The film presents the issue of indoor smoking from the point of view of the solution. The richness of the so called "stove community" is a human, scientific, inventive and vivid environment where people work side by side sharing their knowledge and experience. People featured in the film: Dale Andreatta, Dean Still, Peter Scott, Christa Roth, Lisa Smith, Paul Anderson, Larry Winiarsky, Art Donnelly, Katheryn Sutter, Fred Colgan, Karsten Bechtel, Michael Burnim.

After their documentary about the Klondike gold prospectors, Paola Rosà and Antonio Senter worked on the idea of Perfect Fire inspired by Cesare Cornella and by the story of Dale Andreatta, the American engineer whose four grandparents came to America from Trentino. Paola and Antonio visited Aprovecho in Oregon in Summer 2010, when they took a lot of shooting, and interviewed and asked a dozen "stovers".
